Vanguard Ophthalmology Society

Members of Vanguard Ophthalmology Society met at the Waterfront Restaurant during the 2013 ASCRS Symposium and Congress in San Francisco.  Our special corporate guest was WaveTec Vision, makers of the ORA intraoperative wavefront aberrometer.  Tom Frinzi, President and CEO of WaveTec Vision lead the presentation and discussion of the role of intraoperative wavefront aberrometry in the surgical practice.

The 3rd Annual Vanguard Ophthalmology Society Annual Meeting was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from February 1-3, 2013. Nearly twenty VOS members from all over the country attended and shared our clinical and practice management experiences. In the closed scientific session, members shared personal experiences with diagnostics and treatment of ocular surface, cornea, cataract/IOL, and glaucoma. Practice management, coding, and health care systems issues were covered as well.

Seven new members of Vanguard Ophthalmology Society were introducted at our meeting during the 2012 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Several Vanguard Ophthalmology Society members served as panelists and presenters at the Annual Meeting of the International Society of Refractive Surgeons (ISRS), Refractive Surgery 2012: The Era of Laser and Lenses.
